Musing 41: (Dis)Engage?

Standing amidst the world,
I wonder what is right for me?
Am I to engage? Or to withdraw?

Half of me is pushing to engage,
To get involved with all that come my way,
To chase, to hunt down and to stamp my mark.

The other half commands to withdraw,
That its pure madness that rules outside,
That all that is there is like a mirage in a desert.

I walked both the paths,
Only to be alerted that neither is my way.

Is there a third path out there?
How am I to know?
