Musing 43: Seeking

April 15, 2015

A seeker is in no hurry to conclude. He is simply an observer, a witness to the life as it unfolds. No, he is not a believer. How can he be? The moment we believe, we conclude.

He never judges. He never categorises people and things. He condemns none. He praises none. Yet he encourages all!

He knows only the moment- the present! And he is in it fully, wholly and completely! He lives like that- moment by moment.

Have you ever sat in silence watching the gentle flow of a river? Is the flow of the river different from its water? Flow is inherent in the water, isn’t it? He is like that! He is the flow that is inherent in the present! He knows himself as the thread that runs through the moments, the flow of present!

No, he isn’t excited. But there is a certain sense of awe and admiration that he has for life. He is in constant wonderment about the world, its ways, its subtleties.

His smile is the most beautiful sight in the world. Nah… Everything about him is beautiful. Sometimes he bursts into laughter, not caring for the surroundings. Well, he doesn’t care a hang about our rules.

He cries too! Not the cry you and I do- tears of pain, suffering, disappointment- all born out of selfishness. He sheds tears of love, my people! Pure love! Unadulterated love! Chaste and Unalloyed love!

Yeah! Some people say that they have seen him weeping too. But that’s no ordinary weeping, dear people. What do we know about him? His yearning is for atonement (at-one-ment) with Truth.

By the way, have you ever come across him?

Look within.
